LEADDers participate in interactive sessions exploring America's historical commitment to religious liberty and pluralism as well as contemporary issues regarding the separation of church and state. They also meet in small "action planning" groups to develop tangible plans to strengthen democracy and diversity within their local communities. Below are some samples of LEADD 2007 action plans in the LEADDers' own words: 2007 Action Plans 3 examples: 2007 LEADD Action Plan Participant Name/ Location: Cameron K. / Kailua, HI Action Plan: The Junior Young Buddhist Association has already established a statewide “Peace Day.” However I feel that it is up to me to take this project one step further by promoting a nationwide “Peace Day.” This day of peace will be full of fun while promoting awareness and advocating acceptance of religious, cultural, and ethnic diversity. What do you hope to accomplish with this pan? I hope to accomplish a widespread understanding of what pluralism is, what it looks like, and how to implement it in our everyday lives. Steps you will use to implement your plan: - Religious Level: 2007 Peace Day will be too soon to inform other religious groups about our efforts, so we will begin small. We will inform the Buddhist community and gain their support. By word of mouth and through Religious Congregations, we will hopefully be able to spread this day of peace and pluralism throughout the Hawaii Religious Community.
- State Level: Through social networking and utilizing the media, we will be able to spread the idea of statewide peace day to all people, Religious and non- Religious. By increasing awareness and participation to all groups of people, we will work to gain our State Government’s support.
- National Level: At this level, we have two choices: we can go straight to Congress and propose a National Peace Day, or we can propose the idea to other state governments, gain their support, and then take our idea of a National Peace Day to Congress.

(Leadership, Empathy, Acceptance, and Pluralism) club in our school: We will do this by organizing meetings, coffeehouses, fundraisers, movies and discussions. We will create a pluralistic environment. After this is created we want to open it to the community. Bring different groups together. What do you want to accomplish with this plan? We hope to promote interfaith relations and pluralism within our school and then the Greater Tampa Bay area. Steps you will use to implement your plan: - Getting a sponsor(s) for our L.E.A.P. club.
- Preparing a presentation to show the Guidance Counselor about our club. (BE ORGANIZED)
- Advertising throughout the school and organizing the first meeting.
- Outlining our meeting plans for the year. (Coffeehouse-elections)

What do you want to accomplish with this plan? I hope to raise awareness of different faiths and hopefully quash some misconceptions about people of certain religions. - First, I will start a small, three to four teenagers of different faiths who are interested in learning about religions.
- I will definitely talk to each teenager parent and make sure they understood that this is not prostilltizing but strictly for educational and tolerance purposes.
- Then I will reach out to local places of worship and make sure I have permission from the faith leader to go there with the group to the places of worship.
- After gaining permission, I will take the group to the place of worship to observe and possibly ask questions to the Faith leader about what they are observing.
- I will operate by taking the group to a place of worship once every two to three weeks.
- After going to the final place we will have a meeting and discuss the parts we liked.
- When the meeting is over I will encourage the group to reach out, to others about the experience and if it’s successful, and hopefully I can repeat the process.
